EUROSAF Mixed Offshore European Championship 2019

Dear sailors,

Inaugural  EUROSAF Mixed Offshore European Championship is approaching! EUROSAF together with Sailing Series International and L30 Class Association will welcome you soon in beautiful Venice to sail for the European title in prospective Olympic event! Since our previous announcement Italian squad joined the event and there will be 7 teams on the starting line. 

Here you can find further information about the regatta venue and personal inventory not supplied with the boats.

1. Regatta Venue

Boat will be launched and rigged  at Marina Fiorita

We recommend to the teams to book the accommodation near Marina Fiorita. There is regular ferry connection from Marina Fiorita to San Marco Square.

2. Safety and navigational  equipment

OA will provide lifejackets, First Aid Kits and all necessary safety staff according to OSR Cat 3.
We ask competitors to have own:

• JetBoil.
• Personal AIS,
• tablet or computer with charts for navigation purposes
• original charts
• torches.

3. Pre-regatta training

Following to the numerous requests from the teams boat's draw will be held on 5.10. in the morning in marina Fiorita club house.On 5-7 October 2019 boats will be available for training. Training days are NOT included in the charter fee for regatta and should be paid separately. Charter fee for one training day is 800 euro. During training days boats should be moored in the marina for the night time. At these days team’s advertising may be applied on the hulls in designated areas.

On 7.10.2019 the fleet moves to the Santelena marina.

4. Regatta schedule

8.10.19 – in port race in front of San Marco Square
9.10.19 – start of the long distance race,
The In-Port Race will last approximately 1 hour. The Offshore Race from Venice to Trieste will last approximately 48 hours, with two nights at sea. The schedule and race course may be changed depending on wind and sea conditions to ensure arrival in Trieste on October 11, 2019.
